About Bukser Jeans

The jeans that don't have to go around the world

Journey with us through the story of Bukser. Born from a simple idea, because as far as we're concerned, jeans don't have to travel the world to be good.

Founder Nino Sumah started with nothing more than a dream, a sewing machine and the help of his grandparents. Grandpa printed the shipping slips, then walked with grandma to the post office to ship the packages. Together, they laid the foundation for a brand that stays true to its roots: honest, attentive and respectful of craftsmanship.

What started in an attic room grew into European jeans that sit well and do well. From denim production in southern Europe to the ateliers in Portugal. Every step is visible, every choice conscious. We don't believe in rush, hype or clearance sales. We believe in clothes that last. And in a story that can be worn with pride.

Monday: built to inspire

In the first episode, we return to the basics. To where Bukser really began, with the people who shaped Nino. His grandparents were at the cradle of his entrepreneurial spirit, without knowing it themselves. In their attic room, the first labels were folded and receipts printed. "We did everything together, with patience," Nino says. "That care is still the foundation of Bukser." The Monday Edition is about origins, work ethic and dedication.

Wednesday: built to last

From the kitchen table to the core: our fabrics. Meet Norse Blue, one of our bestsellers. Woven at Candiani Denim, a family-owned Italian company known as the greenest weaver in the blue world of jeans. In a village near Milan, fibers are spun into denim that lasts for generations. With only 125 liters of water per pair of jeans, while 800 is the global standard. The Wednesday Edition is about choices: for quality, responsibility and sustainability with character.

Friday: built to move

The third episode is all about rhythm, clarity and the moments when you step back to see more clearly. We follow Nino on the road, reflecting and looking for direction, with our Light Blue jeans taking center stage. A fresh hue for energy, focus and progress. In addition, you get to know Karline, his partner and rock. She keeps the overview, keeps him sharp and brings calm when the pace is high. The Friday Edition is about the power of balance.

Weekend: built to reflect

The week ends with time for yourself and for conversations outside your own bubble. You'll see in this episode what Nino does when he recharges: walking, talking, listening and finding new perspectives. During one of those moments, he meets Elmer van Veen, founder of Trench. Two entrepreneurs talking to each other about making choices. About trial and error. About building something with character. Central is our Nordic Mist jeans, our best-selling gray shade. Timeless, versatile and loved for its subtle strength. The Weekend Edition is about tranquility, inspiration and the value of real encounters.

Bukser chooses a different route

Our jeans are made entirely in Europe, do not go around the world. We do so with partners who share the same values: honest work, minimal impact and maximum quality.

From Candiani Denim in Italy to crafts in Portugal and by truck to the Netherlands.

No hidden links, no air freight and no empty promises - not a fashion trend, but a moral choice. We understand that you want to know who makes your clothes, where they come from and what they say about the world you want to live in.

Those who say they want to live more consciously can start with their jeans.
One good pair of jeans already makes a statement.

How did Bukser Jeans come into being?

Bukser Jeans was born from the idea that you don't have to choose between style and functionality. We saw an opportunity to create something that not only looks good on men, but also makes them feel confident, whether they are in the office, attending a formal event, or going out for a night on the town. Our jeans combine the best of craftsmanship, comfort and modern design to make every man feel good in his outfit, no matter the occasion.

What began as a small initiative in a bedroom at Nino's grandparents' house has today grown into a full-fledged denim label with a wide range of sizes and styles. With seven different colors and length sizes from 32 to 38, we have ensured that there is a perfectly fitting pair of Bukser jeans for every man. And although our range has grown, our values remain the same: high quality, attention to detail and a focus on sustainability.
