Candiani, de stof die Bukser bij zijn Jeans gebruikt is een duurzame stof omdat het wordt gemaakt met zo min mogelijk water tijdens het verven.

Weet dat bij het maken van één spijkerbroek normaal gesproken 8000 liter water wordt gebruikt; 7500 liter tijdens de productie van katoen, 500 liter voor het verven.

De Candiani-fabrikant verft met maar 125 liter water, dat vervolgens zoveel mogelijk wordt hergebruikt. Hetzelfde geldt voor andere afvalresten zoals geknipte lappen stof en verf.
