What makes a Bukser Jeans durable?
No doubt you've seen it pass by, but the most important part of sustainably developed jeans is the fabric and production. Bukser Jeans is therefore incredibly proud to work with the Italian fabric Candiani.
Candiani
Candiani is constantly striving to find ways to make the denim manufacturing process less harmful to the environment. They do this in different ways and at different stages of the process. From sourcing the cotton to weaving the final denim cloths.
Candiani Denim purchases only cotton that is 100% organic. The selection of this cotton is done by experts and tested internally. After that, it is GOTS certified.
They partner with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), a non-profit organization that grows cotton in different parts of the world and contributes to improving the working conditions of cotton farmers.
Candiani has developed a patented system by which they dye the spun cotton using nitrogen. This system is known as N-Denim. This saves them 30% in water consumption and eliminates the need for hydrosulfite. Candiani's Indigo Juice is an indigo dye that adheres only superficially to the yarn. This makes it wash off more easily, saving a tremendous amount of energy and water. The commitment to improvement is what sets Candiani apart from the rest.
Portugal
Bukser Jeans is produced in Portugal, which pays more attention to sustainability than countries outside Europe. In addition, the manufacturing company provides a lot of handwork and, for example, the hangtag is made from recycled materials.
Shipping
Bukser Jeans works with 100% recycled shipping materials. Consider the shipping boxes and shipping bags.
In addition, shipments within the region are simply transported by bicycle to do our part for our environment as well.
