We believe Bukser Jeans should meet a number of requirements. It should be sustainable, have good quality and be fairly produced. On the last subject we have chosen Portugal. Nino Sumah (founder) has visited the factory himself and therefore fully supports the product.
Unfortunately, clothing is not always made under good conditions. Largely comes from Asian low-wage countries, where long hours are often made under poor working conditions.
As a consumer, it is also difficult to tell from a pair of jeans whether it was made under good working conditions. But at Bukser Jeans this is really a plus. In Portugal, mature people work for a good salary. ''The atmosphere is very good on the shop floor, there is laughter and conversation. The visit made me even more enthusiastic and it feels good that it is produced under fair conditions'' said Nino.
You also notice that sustainability has become increasingly important. Consumers are more aware of where their clothes are made, and fortunately more and more brands and retail chains are now seeing this as a priority.
The fabric is Made in Italy and the jeans are Made in Portugal. In short a European product which unfortunately you don't see much anymore.
